Terms of Use

By creating an account or using MedGrades, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service. These terms apply to both the website at https://medgrades.in and the Round Ready application.

MedGrades exists for medical education and ward-round preparation. That is the whole of its purpose and it is the boundary within which everything else in these terms should be read.

MedGrades does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and does not make patient-specific clinical decisions. It does not replace a supervising clinician, an institutional protocol, your own clinical judgment, or an authoritative medical reference. Nothing the service produces may be relied on as a clinical instruction. Our medical disclaimer forms part of these terms.

MedGrades is intended for MBBS students in their clinical years, interns, junior residents, postgraduate residents and medical faculty. You must be at least eighteen years old to hold an account, and you must be enrolled in or working within a recognised medical training programme.

Your account is yours alone. Do not share your credentials, and do not let another person prepare cases under your account.

You agree not to:

• Use MedGrades to make or justify a clinical decision without the supervision your institution requires.
• Present anything the service generates as a confirmed diagnosis, as a prescription, or as your institution’s protocol.
• Enter patient identifiers that the service does not need, as set out in the clause below.
• Attempt to extract, scrape, resell or redistribute the content the service produces, or to use it to train another model.
• Reverse engineer the service, probe its safety limits, or attempt to make it answer outside medical education.
• Upload malicious files, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
• Use the service in a way that breaches your institution’s rules, your hospital’s policies, or the law.

You must not enter patient identifiers that are not necessary for learning.

That includes patient names and the names of relatives, phone numbers, addresses, hospital registration or unit record numbers, government identifiers of any kind, and photographs of faces or of anything else that identifies an individual.

MedGrades works from clinical findings, not from identity. Your obligations of patient confidentiality under your institution’s rules and under Indian law continue to apply in full, and nothing in these terms reduces them. Where you enter identifiers in breach of this clause, you do so as the person responsible for that decision.

• A free trial of 7 days is available to new accounts. Every feature is open during the trial, with a usage allowance of ten complete case preparations, five photograph batches, five voice cases, ten Cross-Fire rounds and three practice vivas.
• MedGrades Pro costs ₹4,999 per year, billed once for twelve months.
• Payment is processed by Razorpay. MedGrades never sees or stores your card, UPI or net banking details.
• We do not set up an auto-renewal mandate. Nothing is debited automatically at the end of a paid year; renewing is a decision you make.
• If you do not want to continue after the trial, do nothing. The trial ends by itself and you are not charged.
• When a subscription ends, your existing cases, practice history and learning profile remain readable. A current subscription is required to prepare new cases.
• A paid subscription carries no per-case or per-month quota. A fair-use threshold set at roughly three times the busiest genuine clinical use exists to catch automated abuse, and we will contact you before acting on it.

Because the trial exists so that you can decide before paying, we do not operate a general refund window after an annual payment. If a payment fails, is taken twice, or something has clearly gone wrong, write to hello@medgrades.in and we will put it right. Prices may change, and a change will never apply to a year you have already paid for.

The MedGrades name, the software, the interface, the reference layer and the educational material we write remain ours. You are given a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service for your own medical education for as long as your account is active.

The case information you enter remains yours. You give us the permission we need to process it in order to provide the service to you, and nothing beyond that.

Educational summaries in MedGrades are written originally. No textbook passage, table or figure is reproduced. Where a summary is consistent with established teaching, the source is named so that you can read the original for yourself.

MedGrades is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that everything it generates will be complete, current or correct.

Medical knowledge changes, and an educational tool can be wrong. Verify clinical information with your supervising clinician and with current institutional protocols before it affects a patient.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedGrades is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Clinical responsibility for a patient rests with the treating team and with the institution, never with an educational tool used in preparation. This clause needs particular attention during legal review, since the limits enforceable in India are narrower than the ones software terms usually assert.

You can stop using MedGrades at any time and can ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, particularly the clauses on acceptable use and patient identifiers, and we will tell you why where we are able to.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts at Belagavi, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause takes away your right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach a consumer commission where you ordinarily reside or work. Before either side goes to court, write to privacy@medgrades.in and give us thirty days to resolve it. Most things that look like a dispute are a billing error or a misunderstanding about what the product does.

Complaints about MedGrades, including about content, billing or data, go to the officer named below, who acknowledges within seventy-two hours and resolves within thirty days.

We may update these terms as the product changes. The updated date at the top of the page changes with them, and material changes are notified to account holders. Continuing to use MedGrades after a change means the updated terms apply to you.
